InnoGain Starter Bar Recess Former

InnoGain Starter Bar Recess Former

The Starter Bar Recess Former creates spiral profiled recesses in precast and in-suite concrete in which a reinforcement bar can be installed as a substitute for threaded starter bar anchors. The reinforcement bar is installed in the recess with cement or resin based grout and provides a bond of equivalent strength to traditional cast in methods. The larger sizes have an end profile that accepts a 40mm tube which allows it to be used as a SPB Grout Void Recess Former.

SBP Grout Void Recess Former

SBP Grout Void Recess Former

The SPB Grout Void Recess Former for horizontal use creates spiral profiled recesses in wall units and columns in which reinforcement bars can be placed as a substitute for threaded starter bar anchors when creating a permanent joint between panels. On the construction site, stock reinforcement bar is installed in the recess with cement or resin based grout and the spiral profile provides a mechanical key with bond of equivalent strength to traditional cast in methods.

A short piece of flexible plastic tube is left in the concrete and the grout void is filled through the tapered recess leaving a neat void that can be easily made good. This system eliminates corrosion problems experienced with void tube during external storage with no metal being exposed. Assembly of the panels on the building site is easier because there is no possibility of the re-bar catching on the spiral profile when lowering panels into place.

SPB-D Vertical Spiral Recess Former

SPB-D Vertical Spiral Recess Former

The Innogain SPB-D for vertical use creates spiral recesses in units such as ground beams, balconies and staircases. In seconds, the SPB-D can be connected firmly to the formwork with woodscrews, fixing bolts or magnet adhesion. Each size can be used at any pouring height up to 50mm below its overall length. Issues caused by sharp, exposed steel or rusting are eliminated using the recess former as no metal is left in the concrete.

SPB-DG Vertical Plain Recess Former

SPB-DG Vertical Plain Recess Former

The InnoGain SPB-DG for vertical use with a smooth surface creates recesses required for cables, electric, sewer or water supply. In seconds the SPB-DG can be connected firmly to the formwork with woodscrews or magnet adhesion to steel moulds and each size can be used at any pouring height up to 50mm below its length. Issues caused by PVC or metal pipes are eliminated as nothing is left in the concrete once removed.

SPB-DG-H Horizontal Plain Recess Former

SPB-DG-H Horizontal Plain Recess Former

The Innogain SPB-DG-H for horizontal use with a smooth surface creates through holes in products such as T-beams and retaining walls. Usable as a substitute for re-usable pneumatic rubber tube like Ductube or suspending steel tubes during the pouring of concrete. The recess produced is exactly the same size as the former and is easy to remove.

STB Starter Box Recess Former

STB Starter Box Recess Former

The STB Starter Box Recess Former is a substitute for conventional starter box systems for both horizontal and vertical use. This creates a series of profiled holes for connecting reinforcement bars for fixing new concrete panels against precast concrete units. Once formed, re-bars in any required pattern are installed with an approved resin to provide a bond as secure as conventional systems.

SPB-DG-HF Foundation Beam Recess Former

SPB-DG-HF Foundation Beam Recess Former

The SPB-DG-HF Foundation Beam Recess Former for horizontal use with a smooth surface creates through holes in foundation beams for use as a substitute for PVC or steel tubes. These can be used for utility access for water, sewer, data or electric cables. The product stays between the formwork when casting and is taken out once the concrete has set and the formwork removed.

RSK Formwork Spacing System

RSK Formwork Spacing System

The RSK Formwork Spacing System is designed for keeping on site shuttering at the required distance quickly and cleanly.  After curing, the RSK Formers are removed to be used again with just the bar left in the concrete. The recess that remains can then be made good with mortar for a neat finish.

RSF Recess Former

RSF Recess Former

The RSF Recess Former is designed to produce voids in concrete units for such applications as utility pipes, stair edgings and feature profiles. The units come complete with magnets for attaching to steel moulds but have a wooden core and can be attached by screwing through timber formwork directly into the unit. As the rubber closes over the resultant hole, these can be used hundreds of times before needing to be replaced.

RSM Threaded Socket Recess Former

RSM Threaded Socket Recess Former

The RSM Threaded Socket Recess Former is designed for attaching lifting or fixing sockets to the base of steel formwork. When the concrete is cured and the unit lifted, the former always remains in the unit and does not have to be taken out with a release key. Because they are produced from rubber and extremely easy to keep clean, they offer advantages over existing metal formers both in cost and time savings.

LP Plug

LP Plug

The LP plug is used to produce recesses in concrete flooring to accept scaffolding bars, allowing safer erection on site. The former is placed in the concrete after pouring and removed once cured. Once construction is completed the recess is filled with mortar to make good. Always ensure concrete strength and minimum edge distances are sufficient to ensure the scaffolding framework is strong enough to support the required loads. This should be advised by the design engineer.
